Forty years later, this is how they live

It’s truly incredible to carry six babies at once and give birth to healthy ones. Janet knew from a young age that having children was unlikely for her.
But fate had other plans and generously rewarded her perseverance, faith, and determination.

Graham and Janet met at 17 on the Isle of Man. Their relationship began as a friendship but quickly became serious. Janet decided to share the truth about her infertility with Graham when she realized how much she cared for him.

Due to a rare condition, Janet never menstruated, and doctors told her she would never be able to conceive. “I want to be with you, and if we don’t have children, that’s okay,” Graham told her.
At 24, they married. Shortly after, the doctors gave them hopeful news: Janet still had a chance to become a mother. In the 1980s, they decided to try every option. But after 12 attempts, they were still unsuccessful.

Great news: “You’re pregnant, ma’am.”

“Let’s try one more time. If it doesn’t work, we’ll consider adoption,” Janet said. And then a miracle happened. At 31, Janet discovered she was eight weeks pregnant.
Janet’s doctor surprised her with the news: she was expecting six babies. The doctors advised her to be hospitalized immediately.
“An incredible birth and Janet’s courage”
On November 18, 1983, at 31 weeks pregnant, she underwent a cesarean section. With the help of seven medical teams, the six girls were born without complications. Janet’s first thought upon waking was of her children, all of whom were alive and weighed between 3 and 4 pounds.

“Everyday Life of a Large Family”
Janet and her children returned home a month later. The government sent a team of nurses to assist them. For the first few months, they barely managed to sleep a few hours a night.
Today, her daughters are successful women in various fields. Janet and Graham are proud of their large and loving family and cherish every moment of their incredible journey.
