The heartbreaking news of Garrison Brown’s death has shocked the fans of the TLC reality show “Sister Wives.” In a recent autopsy report, it was revealed that Garrison died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Alcohol poisoning was also listed as a partial factor in his tragic death.
Garrison, the son of Janelle and Kody Brown, had appeared on “Sister Wives” since 2010. On March 5, 2024, Janelle took to Instagram to share the devastating news and express her deep sadness over the loss of their beloved son.
The Brown family has requested privacy during this difficult time and asked their fans to join them in honoring Garrison’s memory. Janelle and Kody both shared the news on their Instagram accounts, and the support they have received from their followers has been overwhelming.
The Flagstaff Police Department confirmed Garrison’s death, with Lieutenant Charles M. Hernandez II stating that officers responded to a report of a death inside a home. Garrison’s brother, Gabriel, was the one who discovered the heartbreaking scene, which the police believe to be a suicide. Garrison was only 25 years old. While the police do not suspect foul play, the Criminal Investigations Division is conducting an investigation.
The Brown family has received condolences from various sources, including the television network TLC, which airs “Sister Wives.” TLC expressed their deep sympathies and extended heartfelt condolences to the Brown family during this difficult time.
The reality show “Sister Wives” follows the lives of the Brown family, who practice polygamy. Alongside Kody and Janelle, the show features Kody’s other wives, Meri, Christine, and Robyn, as well as their numerous children. Currently, Robyn is the only wife who maintains a relationship with Kody, and tensions within the family have strained Kody’s relationships with some of his children.
Garrison’s relationship with his father had been difficult for years, and the Covid-19 pandemic exacerbated the strain. Janelle expressed concerns about how the lack of communication between Kody and his sons affected their mental health. She observed that Garrison seemed angrier and sadder, no longer exhibiting his usual happy-go-lucky demeanor.
Unfortunately, the relationship did not improve over time. In 2023, Kody revealed that he still was not in touch with his sons. While this made him sad, Kody acknowledged that there was currently no open door with Gabriel and Garrison, as they were not willing to engage with him.
The loss of Garrison Brown has left a tremendous void in the lives of his family and all who knew him. Let us remember and honor his memory during these challenging days.
